We made it back after an amazing week. I'm sorry I didn't get any more time to blog more while over there, but not to worry...I'll be posting tons more over the next few weeks, including lots of pictures!
Sunday was really special, with a pilgrimage to the home of Charles and Emma Darwin which is called Down House. It wasn't easy to get to, but very much worth it. I'll have the whole story for you soon.

- I am a Biology Instructor at the University of British Columbia and recpient of the 2007/08 Faculty of Science Killam Prize for Excellence in Teaching. My Ph.D. is in Ecology and Evolution from the University of Stony Brook, NY for work on sexual selection and speciation in fireflies. I also have an interest in acting and have been portraying a young Charles Darwin for the past four years to classes and conferences in a wide variety of locations.
